Volunteer team: Center Women Present Steering Committee volunteer assignments     Sorry, you must be an activated volunteer and logged in to be able to sign up Volunteer Opportunity    Activity Coordinator Jennifer Valles Title Center Women Present Steering Committee Description Center Women Present is a queer women's initative started at the San Francisco LGBT Community Center, serving all self-identified women, including lesbians, queer and bisexual women, and female-identified transgender individuals. The program intends to address women's community issues through volunteer-led projects and is shaped primarily by input of community members, with assitance of The Center's staff. Period Date start: 08/12/2006 ; end: Time Commitment Committee Type Available to active volunteers who are members of the targeted group Eligibility This Volunteer opportunity is available to 'Active Volunteers' only. Volunteers Needed Open Activity Location The Center Volunteer Requirements Familiarity with issues relating to the lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer women community is needed. Specific Duties • Center Women Present Street Team: Join our volunteer team in helping get the word out about events through web blasting and distributing flyers. • Matchup! – help during our monthly women’s dating group. Opportunities include greeting attendees at the door and setting up/cleaning up. • Dishing It! – Get involved with our monthly women’s discussion group, where you will help with setup/clean up and meeting/greeting guest facilitators. • Events – we periodically have cultural and social events for the entire community!
